Breastfeeding is not an instinctive act, instead we have to learn to breastfeed in small steps.

Costs for breastfeeding consultation
Private investment in the breastfeeding relationship
As a breastfeeding and lactation consultant IBCLC, I provide advice on the basis of a private prescription, i.e. the costs incurred are to be borne directly by you. In the price overview you will find my hourly rate and any additional travel costs.
Make sure you ask your health insurance provider whether they will cover all or part of the costs. Many statutory health insurance companies have additional pots for parents of newborns and for the first year of life, so that you can get (at least part of) the costs reimbursed.
Private health insurance companies, subsidies or supplementary insurances often cover my bills in full or in part, depending on the tariff taken out, if alternative practitioner services are included.
Laser in breastfeeding counseling
- Use for sore/bloody nipples
- 3 to 5 minutes per session
- Application during a home visit
- Rental devices available for use at home
Low-level laser therapy (LLT) for sore nipples
Low-level lasers or soft lasers are used to support wound healing and pain relief.
It is important to note that the laser does not eliminate the cause of the wounds and should only be used in conjunction with careful treatment of the causes and optimized application.
This means that LLT does not replace root cause analysis, but can compensate for the (painful) consequences of a less than optimal application.

Frequently asked questions about breastfeeding
Many expectant and breastfeeding mothers have similar questions. Here you will find answers to the most common concerns.
How often should my baby be breastfed?
As a rule, newborn babies should be breastfed every 2 to 3 hours. Make sure you recognize your baby’s signs of hunger and react accordingly.
What can I do if I have too little milk?
There are several ways to support lactation and milk flow. However, I would advise you against the various miracle cures on the market, as they usually have no or only a very limited effect.
Frequent breastfeeding, sufficient fluid intake and stress reduction can help. If you still have concerns, I recommend making an appointment for a consultation.
Are certain foods taboo during breastfeeding?
Breast milk is made from blood and nutritional colic or sores are relatively rarely caused by anything you consume as a breastfeeding mother.
A balanced diet is important. Eat what is good for you and gives you strength. Observe your child’s reactions and make an appointment with me for a consultation if you continue to suspect intolerances. If we determine during the appointment that a clarification by medical specialists is necessary, I will immediately refer you to a specialist practice.
What questions about breastfeeding are you currently asking?
Oral restrictions (tongue tie), milk stasis and feeding disorders are complex issues that can hardly be dealt with in a single answer.
